Tulle x Misako Cafe Meet in Harajuku

A few weeks ago, Tulle magazine announced on Twitter that there would be a special collaboration between them and Misako Aoki. It would be a 'lolita themed cafe', open for just about one week, with cute food and photo corners.

As I didn't want to miss out on this exceptional opportunity, I decided to ask some members of the Tokyo International Lolita Facebook group to see if they liked to join me for a little cafe meet there. We managed to pick a date on which most of us would be able to attend and so, this past Sunday, our small group met up in front of LaForet Harajuku to check out this cafe together on the last day of this special collaboration.

Upon entering the cafe, we were so lucky as to discover Misako Aoki herself being there as well! She was super kind and seemed very happy to take our pictures together and chat a bit with us.

The entrance fee for the cafe was 1000JPY, this included free entrance to all photo corners and a free drink of choice from the special drink menu. All in all I thought the experience was more than worth it.

I chose the rose tea with Belgium spiced bisquets.

As our drinks turned out as cute as on the menu, some of us decided to give to food a try as well. I personally cannot have anything with milk in it and unfortunately there was nothing I could try, but it all looked so cute and delicious! :o

The curry was pink!!

Besides the food and drinks, there were also a few remote shop tables and I was finally able to get ahold of my own copy of Tulle magazine!

After enjoying the food and shopping it was time to try out some more of the lolita-themed photo corners near the entrance of the cafe.

I felt pretty well-matched with the classic one. <3

Can't deny I enjoyed this ultra sweet one as well though. :)

We took our last group pictures and then it was already time to go.. (the time you could spend at the cafe per visit was long enough, but still limited)

Everyone looking adorable!

I really enjoyed this whole lolita cafe experience, so glad we went! Of course Misako being there as a surprise made it a bit extra special, but I would say the cafe alone was worth it already. I really hope to see some more cafes like this popping up in the future, such a shame this was just temporary!

Thank you for reading & see you next time ^^.

  1. It looks so cute, such a shame that it was for one-week only. There's so much happening in Tokyo that you really need to be there to catch all those fleeting opportunities. You looked lovely too, very suited to the Classic background set indeed. *.*

    1. So true indeed, the popping up of new things here really never stops and you need to hurry to keep up! Good thing is that for every thing you miss, you will be able to find loads of other things to do if you just wait a little longer :)
(And thank you so much ^_^ <3 )
